The GUNA summer clinical meeting for 2013 is being held on Friday 28th June and focuses on ‘Shaping Best Practice.’ Bringing together some of the UK’s most renowned sexual health practitioners, policy makers and service preoviders, the meeting will explore the latest themes and current topics, providing a clinical update and new perspective for delegates working in the area of sexual health, HIV and contraception.

Following the successful 2012 SSHA one day annual conference in Liverpool, SSHA is having its 2013 one day conference in London on Saturday 21st of September 2013.
We are looking for speakers who are interested in presenting on an aspect of their work on the day.
Please book your place early as last year we had an enormous amount of interest and could not allocate everyone a place.

STIFLevel1Competency is an OSCE style, half day assessment developed by BASHH to assess the competence of health professionals who wish to deliver Level 1 sexual health services. It is ideal for any health care professional seeking certification as competent at this level. It is therefore appropriate for community pharmacists, practice nurses, medical practitioners, health advisors and alternative providers of medical care (e.g. private or third sector) who seek Level 1 certification.

The Francis Report released today highlights the tragic circumstance that led to the poor quality of care at Mid Staffs. At the time, Unite was very vocal at the Trust and strategic levels in bringing these concerns to the attention of decision makers and trying to force change. Unite was able to do this because our members raised issues with their union.
